Since I challenged myself to give up buying books for Lent (because I was turning to books for answers and not God, because I was treating books like idols and spending more money than we had on them, because I probably could not read all the unread books I own in the remainder of this year)… I have been hitting the library hard.
My justification for still grabbing books? I feel led to understand areas of life that I have been ignorant of… like how healthy is our food… how to build a more God centered life… or in the case of this book… activism for the poor.
I am not that far into but it is shaping up to be a very good read.
